A regular garment should be stretchable and sweat absorbent. It should not be heat resistant or water resistant. Polyester does not stretch, does not absorb sweat, does not breathe. Hence if you wear a polyester garment, you sweat immediately, feel very hot. Besides the above factors, there is electrical reaction between the polyester and the warm of the body. There remains air between the hair in our skin and this air makes some sort of electric reaction with the polyester garment which is not good for the skin and for our health. This is called static electricity. Polyester clothes contain toxins like formaldehyde, brominated flame retardants, and fluoridated chemicals (Teflon) to provide “non-iron” and “non-wrinkle” qualities. When you wear a polyester garment, skin and the fabric interact… creating problems like infertility, respiratory diseases, contact dermatitis, and cancer.
The more synthetic clothing you wear like polyester, the greater your risk of absorbing toxic chemicals that harm your health. Polyesterl fibers restrict and suffocate your skin — shutting down toxic release.
