“Six?” Mary replies incredulously, before heading to the I’m Swift As A Gazelle An Old One With Arthritis Shirt besides I will buy this door, stopping, turning around, and repeating, “Six??!!”
During the I’m Swift As A Gazelle An Old One With Arthritis Shirt besides I will buy this pandemic, I haven’t watched many episodes at a time, maybe one or two before I begin to drift off to sleep, lulled by the warm bath of being reunited with old friends and time-traveling back to an era when giving someone a hug (as Mary does in the opening credits with Lou, Murray, and Ted) doesn’t feel like you are confronting the risk of death. It was comfort TV then, in ways that I may not have completely recognized. And it is comfort TV right now, when I need it more than I could ever possibly imagined 40 years ago.
